Sweet Dreams

image Have you ever seen such a pretty little girl? She's was taking a nap in the backyard while we planted flowers.  We also had to install a ton of chickenwire around the yard so Rusty wouldn't dig up the flowers.

Also helping in the yard was Mr. Cool.  You can tell from the pictures he's really into water sports.

Happy Father's Day

June08-72I hope everyone had as happy a father's day as I did.   I was treated to a fresh doughnuts for breakfast and a wonderful steak for dinner.  Between the two, I got to spend the day with my favorite little girl napping and playing in the backyard with Dalton.  I can't think of a more perfect day.  I wish every weekend was like this.

June08-42We also have the first fruits (survivors) of our labor with a vegetable garden!    Between the rabbits and and weeds, we weren't sure if we would get anything this year.  There are still a lot more tomatoes on the vine and about a dozen more carrots so hopefully it will be a success.

The face says it all

June08-45 My old college roommate came to visit last week and thought it would be a good idea to get Dalton some bath paints.  Bathtime has now become the most anticipated part of the day.  Just look at the face.  He paints the walls, toy boats, rubber ducky, and always himself.  For a boy who doesn't like to color he sure does love the paints.  On an interesting note, he is having a lot of trouble discerning the difference between red and yellow.  Not just the paints but in almost every case.

So busy

Things have been incredibly busy at the Lacy house.  Dalton has finished his soccer season and has started gymnastics.  He is doing really well.  Addison is pretty content just laying around.  She enjoys being held (yes, we know we're spoiling her) and has gained has gained almost 3 pounds.  It took Dalton months to gain three pounds!

We had a dog trainer come out and spend some time with Rusty this past week.  It was interesting.  For those who don't know, we got Rusty from an adoption agency and he acts like he's been abused at some point.  He is extremely shy and timid, although not aggressive at all.  The trainer has never seen a dog as shy as Rusty and is having to consult with other trainers to figure out what to do.  He's a good dog though and he does get along great with Dalton, and that's what matters.
