Family Vacation

We finally got around to taking a family vacation since we have been a family of four.  We packed our bags, loaded up the car and headed down to the coast this past weekend.  We could not have asked for better weather or less crowded tourist spots.  We had a great time and Dalton is already asking to go back.

Daddy is behind the wheel and Dalton is on the phone with Grandma excitedly telling her that we are headed to the beach.

Our first stop….the Texas State Aquarium.

Second stop…the beach.  This was both Addie and Dalton’s first experience at the coast.  He ran right in.  She was a bit more cautious.

The Best Big Brother

Addie could not have asked for a better big brother.  He puts up with so much from our spirited little girl.

She is either giving him kisses or biting him….we can just pretend like it is kisses.

What you don’t know about this picture is that he is trying very hard not to smile.

She sure does love her big brother.

Dalton’s First Soccer Practice

Soccer season is upon us and last night was Dalton’s first ever soccer practice.  He had a blast, met some new friends and ironically enough one of the families on his team just bought the house down the street from us.  Small world!

More dribbling practice.  He’s starting to get the hang of it.

His team is called Galaxy and sadly enough (since they are mostly boys), the colors are lavender and black.  Luckily, they are boys and most are around 4, so they don’t care much anyway.  We are looking forward to his first game in just a few weeks.

New Library

Schertz has opened a fabulous, brand new, state of the art library.  Dalton and Blake were out of town for the grand opening, but Addie and I sure did enjoy getting to go browse the shelves, check out the new story time room and of course, check out the toys in the children’s section. 

 

Story time starts up again tomorrow.  We sure did miss it the past month while the library was closed for the big move.  I’m sure I’ll have more pictures to post soon!
