Well, we did it. We finally took Dalton back for his second ever camping adventure. We had tons of fun and rather than ending the weekend with an Ambulance ride like last time, we managed to make it home with just a few mosquito bites. We tried out a new to us campsite called Jellystone on Canyon Lake complete with Yogi and Boo Boo Bear. The campground had a lot of activities to keep our little ones busy. Here are some of our favorite things from the trip.
Picture time with Yogi Bear. They also have a ‘real’ Yogi that comes out to see the kids during the weekend. We didn’t get the chance to meet the real Yogi since we had to leave early to make it to Dalton’s first ever soccer game (expect a post about that later).
Home Sweet Home (at least for one night). Did I mention that I am getting too old to sleep on the ground?!?
Breakfast of Champions…poptarts. It required no cooking.
Playing on the playground.
Video Arcade! What other campsite do you know that has one of these? The kids haven’t figured out yet that if you put money in the games they do even cooler things. I have no plans of letting them in on this little secret any time soon. Oh and notice who is in the driver’s seat? Poor Dalton. I guess Addie will teach him how to be more assertive one of these days.
Exploring!
Game time with Daddy.
By far the family favorite….the bouncy pillow.
(For those who may not know or remember….this is how we ended our last camping trip when Dalton was 2 1/2.)
