Best Weekend Ever

This weekend has been the best weekend in a really long time.  It’s been pretty lazy with lots of naps.  Surprisingly, we’ve also done quite a lot.

On Friday we got to have dinner with Maca and Poc on the Riverwalk.

Saturday we had a pizza picnic in the living room.

Then we watched fireworks at Seaworld on Sunday.

Then on Monday (no work – Memorial Day) we took Addie to the tea gardens and zoo.

Kindergarten Graduation

Ballet Recital

Addison’s first ballet recital was this weekend.  She had a great time and did really well.  Looking at the pictures, it’s hard to believe that Addie is one of the youngest ones!

Happy Birthday Addie

Addie turns 3 years old on May 1st!  We had her birthday party a little early.  For her birthday, she wanted everything to be Hello Kitty so Crystal made her a home-made Hello Kitty birthday cake for her party.  I’m pretty sure she loved it.

Big Girl Bed

Addison is excited to announce that she has moved up into a big-girl bed!  Yes it may occupy 92% of her room and be slightly harder than a slab of granite, but she’s excited about it. 

And for the record, repairing the border that she tore down 2 years ago is still on my to-do list.

Crystal’s Latest Birthday Cake

Dalton's 6th Birthday

Every year Crystal like to try and outdo herself with a new birthday cake idea for the kids.  This year Dalton wanted a monster-truck cake.  So Crystal made a strawberry cake (Dalton’s favorite) and topped it with icing and graham cracker crumbs.  She added oreo “tires” and a pop-tart ramp for the trucks.  She even added terrain to the surface.  You can tell from the picture, Dalton loved it.

Tiny Dancer

Addison started ballet classes this weekend.  It is all she has been talking about for weeks.  I’m pretty sure she has told everyone she has met that she is going to be a ballerina. 

(I think her mother is just as excited about it as she is though.)
