30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 7

Today, I am thankful for busy schedules.  The kids and I had a very full assortment of activities to do today that is finally coming to an end for me just before 9 pm tonight.  I am thankful that I am able to get to do all of these things with my children even if it means my work day as a stay at home mom was non-stop for almost 15 hours today.  I am thankful that I am able to be the one who cares for them and that they are not being raised by strangers.  I am thankful that I am the one who gets to make the new memories with them rather than hearing about them from someone else.  A day of idleness sometimes seems like a far off dream, but truth be told I would always choose a day of busyness with my children than an idle day spent alone.

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 6

Today, I am thankful for my puppies.  They bring so much happiness to our family.  They are loyal, loving, silly and brave.  I could not imagine life without them'.

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 5

Today, I am thankful for my family.  Both the family I was born into and the family that I was given the opportunity to marry into.  They drive me crazy at times and bring on tears of joy in the very next moment.  They are dependable, caring, funny, quirky, and mine!

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 4

Today, I am thankful for my daughter Addison.  We prayed for her to come into our lives for over a year and when she finally arrived, she was just perfect.  She has grown into a beautiful, compassionate, yet sassy young lady.  We are so thankful that God chose her to make our family complete.

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 3

Today, I am thankful for my first born.  Dalton came into our lives as quite a surprise but I am so thankful that he did.  He has such a  loving, kind and gentle spirit.  He loves unconditionally and forgives unconditionally.  He is the best big brother and son we could have ever asked for.

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 2

Today, and always, I am thankful for my loving husband.  God really knew what he was doing when he wrote our stories so that our paths would cross.

I am thankful God chose him to be my husband.

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 1

Today is by far mine and Blake’s favorite day of the year.  Halloween is over, the not so cute neighborhood decorations are gone (or hopefully being put away over the weekend) and the holiday season is officially upon us.  To celebrate the beginning of the holiday season, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon which so many already practice:  The 30 Days of Thankfulness.

First and fore most, I am thankful for my Savior.  Often times I feel like he takes a backseat to my family, but I am currently working on trying to put the JOY (Jesus, Others, Yourself) principal back into play in my life.  I have a wonderful church family that lives this principal out daily and challenges me to do the same.

Chosen Marathon for Adoption 2012

This was my second year running the half marathon for this worthy cause.  It is now by far my favorite event I have ever done.  Great course, cool weather, very well organized and all for an even better cause.  I would highly recommend it to anyone who has ever even considered running a half or full marathon.

I hope to be able to run this race for many years to come and continue to support such a worthy cause!
